Strategies for Success

Strategies for Success is a program coordinated by Student Affairs designed to assist students in establishing and achieving their personal and professional goals.  Program components focus on developing skills in critical thinking, self management, motivation, interdependence, self awareness, engagement and lifelong learning. The program further connects students with the On Course Success Principles to promote greater student achievement.

Strategies for Success assists students in determining the choices they must make to succeed while engaging them in campus life.  The program implements a tangible plan to assist students in developing as effective partners in their own education.  Students will find greater success in college and life skills through participation in this cohesive program.

  • Schedule a meeting with the student advocate to review your self-assessment.
  • Develop a personal success plan.
  • Meetings each semester with the student advocate.
  • Familiarize yourself with on-campus resources.

Strategies for Success is designed for students individually so that they may develop a plan that defines success for them personally along with how they can achieve it. Strategies for Success is designed to assist students at any stage of their college career.  Students participating in this plan will learn many proven strategies for creating greater personal and professional success.
